New York State has amended Part 1228 of Title 19 NYCRR. Section 1228.4 of this law requires carbon monoxide detection in all new and existing commercial buildings. All commercial buildings must be in compliance by June 27, 2016.
What does this mean? Owners of new and existing commercial buildings are encouraged to install carbon monoxide detection that complies with the requirements of this section in their buildings as quickly as practicable prior to June 27th, 2016.
